Merry Christmas 2013

Presenting the ugliest Christmas Tree ever :P
we finally got a 7-foot tree after moving into this home for 3 years. I guess bcoz this is the first time we somewat are in town for christmas :P

Last year we were in Thailand, the year before we were in France? or was it Spain I can't remember. So u see there isn't really much of a reason to have a tree when u are not at home. But we've accumulated so many christmas ornaments throughout the years around the world.

Anyhow blame it on my lack of decorating skills. We thought that putting up a Xmas tree could be as simple as errrr dressing ourselves up? bahahahaha. Just plonk everything on the tree and it should be fine...oh how wrong we were :P

Finally after much coordination, it looked much better now...except for the wiring of the lights...sigh...we'll need more ornaments next year and yes more gifts under the tree!!!!!

I lurve my glass balls decorated with gold design, from Zara Home. Thing is, it's pretty heavy bcoz it's glass...can u imagine these are the things/junks that I hand-carried back from Europe? They are not expensive..only Euro 9.90 for 3 glass balls.

I have not one turquoise box but 2 Tiffany boxes hanging on the tree!!!!

the free gift was a beautiful crystal xmas ornaments. Tiffany won't be that generous to give another pair of diamonds earrings with purchases right? bahahahaha.

I really love this gift but it's too expensive. >.< for something so small
let's buy holidays/vacations/trips for each other next time :)))))))))) but JS said diamonds are forever and a gal's best friend. My guy friends said JS spoilt market :P

a few months ago, Peakie D was flown into Tokyo for the special 175th year anniversary celebration of Tiffany & Co and she took one single pic of this beautiful necklace. *u lucky woman!!!!!*

Peakie D told Monkey u literally needed a sunshade to preview this special necklace bcoz it's so brilliant!!!!

and when I saw it....WOOOAAHHHHHH~~~~~
woooooowwwww.....like a sun, it shone endlessly no matter how u hold it

u see wat I mean???
it has got this fiery yellow intensity

do u have any idea how big is this Tiffany yellow diamond?
when first found and mined it was 287.42 carats!!!!
GAH!!!!!
then it was cut to a 128.54 carats to maximize its brilliance

usually the famous Tiffany Yellow Diamond is on display at its flagship store in New York
and for the 175 years celebration it was taken on tour in major cities around the world

well I'm not a person who fancy yellow diamond....
but yesterday I was at Tiffany to collect something and.........
I told myself over and over again
I should have just focused on my mission which was just to retrieve my diamond ring and walk out

but I guess the retail team has been trained to do things slowly and give MORE TIME for the customers to linger inside its beautiful store
the slower they were in processing my ring
the longer I spent
the more I see
ARGHHHH *pulls hair*

all the beautiful jewelries set with brilliant yellow diamonds were calling my names
they were so so so beautiful aren't they?

the Sales Assistant was very sensitive to my needs and wants
soon Monkey was seen trying them on
*smack head onto mirror*

Monkey, let's not walk near Tiffany anymore OK
it will be my object of desire....not meant to be owned..
only meant to be admired

and when I was about to leave, the S.A. told me...
"Miss Monkey, we'll contact you when we launch this Yellow Diamond collection soon. It will be the most opulent event in town."

GAH....dun bother...please!!!

It's always difficult to flip through ICON magazine every month
without indulging in some merchandise that's on their glossy pages.

It's not helping either when Baby Wei will tag pages with the striking
"OH READ ME pls" tags on pages that may interest me

erm....arent' those taggings only for work-related articles and coverages that require my immediate attention?
hmmm looks like that was not the case.
so the famous Tiffany Key landed on my neck a week after I've seen it on the mags
erm that was 3.5 months ago...

It's such an icon that everyone knew it was Tiffany key
and lil did I know my selection sooooooooooooooo resembled my brand's key
