we went to Kampung Sim Sim located by the shore errr or shoreline u call it
houses were built on stilt with a narrow walkway
it was actually a house converted to a coffeeshop
tables were scattered at every possible corner
and customer were slurping their yummy noodles

and their lil kitchen....which was as narrow as the walkway
U'll be surprised at how systematic they were

we called it "chinese ravioli"
stewed fish stomachs....errr I dunno how to consume this but the men said it was really good
finally the NOODLE!!!!!! homemade egg noodle with homemade chinese ravioli/dumplings
some called it "sui gau"
this shop makes em and export em to Hong Kong
coz it's such a delicacy with a HUGE PIECE if
CENTURY EGG innit
we wanted to buy those frozen sui gau with century eggs back
but it seems u need to make advance bookings for it

this sui kow.....just imagine you eating normal sui kow....then suddenly u eat a piece of century egg...that's the ooommmpppp effect you will get :)
also the noodles has the gauge of rubber bands.....and also the texture of rubber bands....yes, that's the true meaning of al dente!

JS: where can we get this type of sui kow in KL?
haven't seen or eaten before in kul....guess it's probably a HK invented dumpling....and sandakan has connections deeply rooted in HK! even the cantonese spoken in sandakan is very HK like!!
Sandakan chinese all descendants frm hong kong. The british encourage them to migrate
