Shoes Galore

Gianvito Rossi....the son of the more famed shoe designer Sergio Rossi is charting his own fame with his funky designs at every Fashion Week in Milan ever since 2007. Hey that's pretty young for a brand u know? And over the course of a few years he has garnered more and more followers and clientele esp from Hollywood. Seen on red carpets and movies premiere....it's such a novelty to own a pair.

Thing is....as much as funky and bespoke they are....Monkey can't carry such dainty heels

it's too dainty and mini and lady-like for Miss Monkey
I know..so cute and pretty right?


Somehow I found a pair that suits me :)))))))))
something more subtle in Italian Lace :))))))))

Look at the detailing on the back with small pretty bows

*staring at my shoes-robe* and yes I don't have anything this lady-like nor in lace. YET.

yes I should but it cost SGD 1,160 a pair...say about RM 2,900

Monkey bought 4 pairs of shoes in Paris a few months ago....
3 pairs of D&G and one from Ferragamo. The Ferragamo pair looked so tiny but all four are in size 36. Weird huh? Maybe coz it's only half the height of the rest?

Patent leather is so much easier to maintain. Esp with SHOES!!!! The lilac pair was a high maintenance one bcoz it's a weaved fabric material. ARGHHH. Oh well wat to do, when u see it and fall in love....it's like u'll never part ways with it *except parting money*

sigh....ok no more shoes shopping. I gotta limit my purchase. And to limit it, I gotta stop browsing for the latest offerings, stop reading newsletters sent to me, stop attending fashion events....but again part of it is my job. Dangerous. Perhaps I should relegate to a deskbound boring low paying job.

oh well the grass is alwiz greener on the other side so stop complaining and be thankful. and yes I DO WORK HARD. VERY HARD. aaaahhhhh and to reward myself...more shoes. Oh dang!!!! *smack my head* this isn't goin anywhere...

Dolce & Gabbana Sneakers

Hong Kong has alwiz been a vibrant shopping heaven
they even called themselves the City that Never Sleeps

yea we couldn't agree more...most shops opened till midnite
with more F&B outlets opened around the clock
well to every HongKie Time = $$$$$$

so Monkey & JS tottered to our usual favourite discount outlet
there were so many items on markdown fr the past season
we went bonkers moving round the shop like CSI unit never letting a single corner undiscovered
hahahhaahhaha hehehhe ok ok just me...JS just tagged along

guess there were just too many items on Markdown
esp the bags....I dunno wat to get

then we moved to the SHOES section aka JS's weakest point
he went ohhh-aahhh-very GLEE liked over em
-_-" okie Monkey now u shuddup it's JS's time to shop

just like Monkey, he couldn't decide which pair....coz apparently most designs have got his size
WAT??? Hongkie men dun shop izzit?

think so far, every single pair of VAIN shoes that JS got, Monkey bought
so dun u ever run away...coz I can hit/abuse/throw the number of shoes u have at u..

but they said to void the belief....the recipient must pay the giver a small token of $$$$
to symbolise that u actually purchased that gift/items instead
and JS was so pleased with this pair of new VAIN shoes he forgot to pay me yet

Monkey got the above pair for RM 700 only....it was at a 45% discount
totally worth it for full leather...hehehehehehe

Dolce Gabbana Men Shoes Fall Winter 2009/2010

Dolce & Gabbana is HUGE in Milan
both Monkey & JS walked into the boutique and looked around on the 1st level...

"erm where's the men's collection"
Sales Associate: "Madame it's on the next street"

u mean in this whole row of shops along this road...it's only Women's collection????!?!!
when we were in the right boutique...we were disappointed bcoz the range was just OK
then we realised we were only at its "mini" showroom...for at the courtyard which we were later guided to..
was a beautiful semi-outdoor D&G bar and cafe
on our left was another showroom....just for Men's innerwear *ooOOooooo*
and more showrooms 360 degrees around us...
while the SHOES showroom was right ahead

and so Monkey got JS this pair of a spanking polish black shoes
which he adored so much
with its famous Italian flag stripes

it also came with an awesome shoebag

nice eh? I dun see this anywhere for the moment including HK
prollie outta stock

oh by the way tax is about 20% in Italy but u can only claim back around 11 - 12%

Shopping at Montenapoleone, Milano

Montenapoleone is the most EXPENSIVE street in Milan and Italy
it is also regarded as the most IMPORTANT street in Fashion

the above is Dolce & Gabbana street...coz the whole street only has Dolce & Gabbana's boutique
they have sub-boutiques selling only D&G innerwear,
shoes, parfumes, RTW...bags...jeans..
oh mind u..that one street only has D&G for Women
D&G for Men is on the other street -_-
Versace house...with 5 levels of merchandise..
we didn't really explore the other levels...

they have arcade shopping like this for some non-Italian brands

I like the Fiat car Tree-pots
hehehehe...so creative
so after the first shopping trip at Montenapoleone...we got the above
well we returned almost every other day after that
