Hokkaido Santouka Ramen, Pavilion KL

a bowl of ramen is comfort food to me :))))))))))))))
so on a glorious Sunday, we headed to Pavilion KL for brunch

JS was curious coz I dun like to get down to malls on weekends
esp malls that I hang out/work at on weekdays
*yes all my appointments are done either in KLCC, Starhill, Pavilion KL, Lot 10, Fahrenheit 88, The Gardens, Midvalley - now u understand why I dun stay in the office?*

so he probed further why r we heading to Pavilion KL on a Sunday morning
def not for food :P
and eventually he got the answer....Bottega Veneta pre-sales :P
I was there to book pieces but then nothing that I fancied coz my eyes were darting at their new arrivals instead
T_T failed....so we took comfort in FOOD :))))))))))))))

Soon we landed ourselves at Santouka Ramen
and ordered spicy ramen while JS had Premium Pork Cheek ramen
it's RM 40 a bowl yo!!!!

Spicy ramen came with this....
da bomb!!!!
hahahahhahahahaha
definition of melts in ur mouth
pic speaks for itself so I dun have to elaborate

the succulent pork cheek with its condiments - bamboo shoots, leeks, black fungus.

Santouka was established back in 1988 at Hokkaido
now it has mushroomed all over under the same franchise

bomb for me was this pork cheek char siu which was seared with a torch

there!!! upclose pics!!!
dun come and haunt me if u are hungry as u read :P

since we *ok ok only me* were greedy bugger, we ordered more condiments
of sweet corns, egg, more leeks and bamboo shoots
the bamboo shoots weren't fantastic
I'll prefer the fresh one anytime - sashimi style :))
also the must have par-boiled egg
prices of condiments range from RM 1 - 3

not a bad place to grab a bowl of noodle
but if u wanna compare with Ippudo in Singapore...please don't
again we must alwiz take into account this is Malaysia and it will never ever be of that standard
but I'm glad at least we have a quite decent place for a bowl of ramen
:)))))))))))

Now I missed Ippudo ramen in Singapore
just realised I forgot to blog bout it after my visit last year and now the pictures are nowhere to be found
so looks like it's time to revisit Ippudo :)))

and lastly, JS's homemade ramen is the biggest bomb
:))))))))))
with its stock boiled for more than 12 hours like a volcano
hahaha yes I know I didn't blog bout that....:P

anyway if u have nothing to do and happens to be at Pavilion KL go and have that contented bowl of simple ramen :))))

Gathering of the bulls - Lamborghini

Smoking hot~~~
the car...not the chick :P

Last saturday was the gathering with Lamborghini owners from Singapore and Malaysia
also presenting were 3 exclusive Lambos with high quality 3M stickers on it
*heck i won't do tat*
students of Lim Kok Wimg Creative University created winning entries for these stickers
the above orange lambo was a 2nd place entry

3rd place was a bit too daring with the anatomy of a human with rib bones, back bones
a bit too "feng tau" for me :P

now this is wat I called an understated elegance
of the golden bull on a lamborghini :))))))

the owners of these 3 cars had to live without their lambos for a month
in order for creative works to be completed

this owner lurved the design so much, he's keeping the 3M stickers on!!!!

later all the exclusive guests were escorted to Al-Amar Restaurant for dinner

freshly baked bread fr the stone oven
my favourite :))))))))))))))

dinner started off with cold mezze *forgot to snap pic*

falafel???

grilled main course of lamb, beef and chicken

the lebanese chef looked a bit stoned here :P
later, there was an auction of d'YQuem, Lafites and Margaux
very sad auction coz those guests don't appreciate wines at this level
They can't imagine spending RM 12,000 on a bottle.
:D and we didn't bid coz JS can get cheaper than that but hey this is for charity isn't it?

Monkey & JS
we were seated with the President of Lamborghini Club
and some other snobs who were not educated to say hi and introduce themselves *poor manners*
interior of Al-Amar Restaurant

later we were entertained by a belly dancer
Monkey, Lyndon and Peakie D
both of us in our Chanel :))))
Lebanese sweets...
it was good!!!!
we had such great time together
good seeing both of u again
*like 2nd time for the week??? hehehehe*

Asia Magic Gala

Monkey & Baby Wei
she looked like an 8 year old...
now u know why u are BABY Wei

ERIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH MY GAWD ERIC!!!!
your collection was so awesome it smashed my heart!!!
we heart heart heart Andrea Fonseka the host's pair of sexay stilettos
reminded me of Victoria Beckham
presentation started with Kirana's collection by Sharifah Kirana
everyone gasped at the final piece coz it was worn by no other than
supermodel AI TOMINAGA!!!!!!
Sharifah Kirana in shocking blonde super short hair
so edgy!!!!
and *held our breathe*.....this is it....the launch of Eric's Pret-a-porter 2010
lil ballerinas came out
*oh just realised that's Mahadzir Lokman's head*
OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!
I LURVE IT ALL~~~~
Eric got his inspiration fr Audrey Hepburn whom he adores tremendously
GAH!!! I want!!!!!
each piece has a name attributed to Audrey's character in her movies
the one on the left is Chiquita and Ella *my favourite*
all models fr Beijing, China
dun u think the one wearing Chiquita looks like Sammi Cheng?
GASP!!!! mermaid wedding gown!!!!!
with ivory Italian avant garde lace and silk duchesse satin!!!!!
in fact there were more but I was too speechless and motionless to snap any pic for u ppl
Oh Eric u DID IT AGAIN!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS
and thank u for having us :)))))))))))))
show proceeded with a Korean designer - Jo Myung Rye
with all her "hangbok" inspired dresses
she was rather shy though!
Next was a China chinese designer - Bo TAO
his designs are very diverse...
some were organic some were futuristic
flirty sexay fun
his final dress made up a chinese character...
*I can't read*

hmmm wat was his theme???
Mr. BO TAO!!!
the last presentation was by an Indonesian designer - IKA
Ai Tominaga wore one of her dresses
she was so elegant and with such poise..
lurve the body structure and her moves..
can't blame the crowd when everyone clap like nobody's biz!!!
*including this Monkey*
IKA
*actually IKA = squid in japanese*
Andrea looked so diff here :P
Tonite was one of the best creation by far...
Read bout the other BEST MIFA I've attended *here*
