The Smokehouse Hotel & Restaurant

You are warned first, kay.
This is gonna be a disappointment.
The Smokehouse was built in 1939
hence the english english feel.
Even the dining area is so colonial
with rose motifs on the napkins.

moreover Prince C is a french butter follower.

I had beef with yorkshire pudding
which throw at ppl can die!!!!!
I took one bite of the beef and left it standing the whole nite.

Yes mommy said don't waste food,

Me and I Ching

The resort has a Jim Thompson boutique
History has it that he was lost in Cameron Highlands
while trekking in the jungle.

anyway we came here for this
nice ambience

we brought two stunning wines
and believe me, this restaurant has no burgundy glasses..

No pinot noir glasses -_-
lucky we brought one set
and they took one set out, which belongs to Tan Sri FY
so we were drinking that nite from his personal glasses.
erm......

erm....dun ever bother trying.

then there's another weird salad which I didn't bother taking pic.
GAh!! U call that FOOD? I call it torture!!!!

JS was smart and ordered prawn fritters
the best of the lot on the table.

u can't go wrong with this and everyone was nibbling fr his plate.
all of us had steak for main
and I chose Sirloin.
okie ler....not that shabby.
anyway dinner was so uneventful we went to the reading room for cigars & desserts

wasted lar our good wines. :(((((((((
cheesecake was dry with lil cheese

bread pudding was OK
and so we sat by the fire place chatting for hours

hmmm I dun smoke so lil "feel" and knowledge bout cigars.

I hear fire wood crackling as it burns,
smokes went up the chimney beautifully
while this two chimneys were busy smoking -_-"
yes dinner sucks big time but thank you for bringing me here baby!!!

Berries mania

I Ching & Me went strawberries plucking and munching
*it was cooooolllldddddd~~~~~~*
early in the morning while the men went to the golf course
earlier than us and stood frozen with 2 orang asli caddies.
we were given a polyester tray = RM 15
pluck as many as you want according to its tray's max weight
excess weight will be charge accordingly.
pretty straightforward.
the farm was HUGE!!!

Since it was super early in the morning,
there were only two of us
and bangla supervisor lead us to "a certain" rows for visitors to pluck.

I looked at it -_-
and living it up to my title Notti Monkey.....
"Me dowan here. Let's go over there with big fat juicy strawberries."
Pluck those at the top coz they've got enuff SUN!!!

another lower rank bangla worker who was harvesting them starred at me.
coz we were at the zone which was not meant for visitors.

I smiled at him and continued to screen down the rows and rows of berries.
"I Ching, this row is the best, let's walk in!!!!"
yep they are red and juicy but still
try to get those at the top coz they tend to be sweeter.
see wat I mean???
DARK RED!!!!
with such berry aroma and I was drowned in its trance of red lollies here and there.
we had strawberries for breakfast that day
from the farm to my stomach

I Ching: "Hey make sure u don't move your lips when u turn over to the bangla worker."
Ok OK Ok Ok and continued to munch.

Monkey: "I Ching dear, pls wipe your red lips after u have consumed em."
OK OK OK OK and continued to pop more strawberries into her mouth.

I Ching: "Smile, lemme check your teeth for berries stain!!!"

Well if u wanna curi makan u have to wipe your lips don't ya??!?!!?

anyway we had our money worth every single cent at this farm.

we got back our flirt mobile and went vegetables shopping,
yes u didn't read it wrong..
it's VEGETABLES shopping!!!!

Super huge cabbage and it's only RM 10!!!
