H&M Home

Last nite, H&M Avenue K launched its Home section exclusively to their VVIP clientele and selected media. Much hype has been brewing 2 months earlier bcoz Malaysia will be the 1st country in South East Asia to stock the chic and affordable products for your home :))))

Think pillow cases, duvets, storage items, glassware, tableware and decorative items :))) and lots of candles.

H&M Home sells mostly smaller items for your home and not loose furniture. They even have curtains, blinds and rails.

The assortment of candle holders and tealights candles were vast but not all are available yet at the store as at last nite. Home section isn't big but you need to look hard enuff to locate all the items.

The jars are pretty cool but didn't see any last nite. Tableware in different prints and designs are available though, including the cake stand.

Monkey is a glassware freak so I got some :))))) Maybe the selections here is small bcoz at the end of the day I still prefer Zara Home. Nevertheless good job to H&M for bringing in the Home section into Malaysia. :)))))

4th March 2013 marked the date H&M launched its Conscious PartyWear collection WORLDWIDE. Doesn't matter if you are in Lebanon, South Korea, Croatia or Mexico. The exciting, much anticipated, really really super limited collection was finally on sale at selected H&M outlets around the world.

Months ago, I've already spotted those few key pieces. And what Monkey wants....she'll get it :)))

Long dress in the color of old rose, this is actually a BARE-BACK dress all the way down to your waist. With my height, this is impossible to pull but then it's retailing at only RM 199. Arghhhhh

I tried this on....it's either the top fits and the bottom doesn't....whichever way I was not lucky enuff to own this dress :((( unless I chop off some meat/fat off my body to compensate for parts I'm lacking -_-

Every year H&M launches its Conscious Collection
It's a long term project to make Fashion sustainable, greener and available to as many people as possible. Yes it's greener!!! coz all cotton were organic cottons. You must be wondering....what the heck??? Do u really need Organic Cotton???

Oh yes....believe me...Organic Cotton spells ZERO Pesticides!!!!
and it's of higher quality cotton....and when it's of better and higher quality, you use less water to clean them. You'll be alarmed to find out water usage can be reduced to as low as 20% for this process.

And to be sustainable, H&M uses a lot of renewable energy. From their solar panels to generate electricity, recycled papers, recycled water.....and guess what???? RECYCLED POLYESTER!!!

Maroon Dress with Roses, with crinkly organza detailing.......it's SO STUNNING!!!! Retailing at RM 399. Sold with a separate matching headband with the same roses!!!!

I was so lucky to have a Personal Shopper cum Consultant cum Lady Boss from H&M Malaysia :))))

Dawnie: "Oh I see u got that exclusive dress already :)) Did you get the matching hairband?"
Monkey dug it out from her H&M shopping bag carrier and raised it up with PRIDE

Dawnie: "OHHHHH lucky you!!! There's only 3 pieces in Malaysia!!!"
Monkey: "REALLY????WOOHOOOOOO~~~~" and twirled around.

Monkey: "My friend wanted this same Rose Dress, do you still have stock?"
Dawnie: "I'm sorry, there are only 9 pieces in Malaysia. And in your size, there are only 2."

Oh oh oh!!!!! o.O
but Monkey didn't give up....she harassed all the boys and gals working at the fitting room area.

Monkey: "If you see this dress in 34 *holding her dress up high*.......keep it and call me. This is an order!!!"
In the end, I camped INSIDE the fitting room lounge waiting for someone to release the other size 34. Well no such luck but this friend finally got her dress from another friend based in Zurich.

Yup, in life determination is very very very crucial and important.
Whenever there's a will there's alwiz a way or WAYSSSSS
hahahahahaha

Whatcha waiting for? There are so many other beautiful sustainable dresses at H&M. Hopefully they are still hanging nicely after the manic yesterday. Good luck with the shopping. Else you can still buy the other Conscious collection which was launched earlier in March.

H&M Chokers

During the chaotic frantic H&M VIP preview, I managed to pull 2 chokers outta its rack
thronged by more manic shoppers.....everyone seemed to be throwing garments apparels accessories up the air.

I didn't even bother to try my garments coz H&M practiced this 30 days validity thingy...so if it doesn't fit, u can alwiz come back to change the size, colors etc provided the garment is still in good condition. *well except accessories and undergarments etc*

I saw this in H&M Singapore 2 weeks ago and resisted bcoz I need i will obtain my 20% VIP discount on the opening day....so.....just be a lil bit more patience
there were also many items that I saw in Singapore and it wasn't available in Malaysia...
coz I was thinking, I just need to wait 4 more freaking days and I will have my 20% on all merchandises so why bother??
well if it's not meant to be...it's not then.

well now that I've worn them first *hehehehe* i don't really bother anymore
coz I am sure to bump into another one wearing these soon in town

yesterday while dashing off from my appointment to the boutiques for work....
I managed to grab the beautiful pink Lana del Ray pink jeans *hehehehe*

H&M Lot 10 KL

Monkey received the verbal invitation 2 months earlier
and then the save-the-date invitation 1.5 months ago
finally the actual invite a month ago

Mixed feelings enveloped me
I was eppy eppy that H&M is finally in Malaysia
but not so eppy if the whole Malaysia is wearing it
hahahahaha
so u see, humans are really funny beings...
the more rare an item is, the much higher the perceived value is and the MORE u want it

this applies to everything from Men, Wines, Exotic places to visit, and most of the things in life
well at least in MY LIFE it is :)))))))))

20th September is also a very big date for H&M
not only in Malaysia because it's the VVIP red carpet preview
but also for H&M worldwide as Lana del Ray's collection hits the stores WORLDWIDE
I couldn't locate this Angora sweater she's wearing here
but I think I saw something similar in electric blue....almost got my hands there for not the other crazy mad ladies shopping last nite

the who's who in town were all invited, all the beautiful ppl :)))))
900 bottles of chilled champagnes were popped
the queue at the red carpet was the width and length of the Lot 10 facade
yeah the queue was of people with invitations!!!!

thank goodness I was with my galfriends holding hands *opsss I'm a LGBT*
chit chatting and the queue *felt like* moved so fast that we didn't have enuff time to chat!!!!
the weather was pretty humid and I'm glad my pom-pom skirt was short :P

prollie I was still so into last year's Lanvin's collection
which I bought every single piece of my wish list and hunting down every single H&M store in the whole of France...


I still remembered....JS brought me to this lil quaint town about 1 hour out of Paris
after 30 mins walking...I said it was such a boring place...and he fed me well with so many food to distract my boredom


but when we saw the red H and the M at the shopping strip....I ran towards it
like a crying toddler running to her mommy....with hands and arms opened....welcoming it...
yeah and I let out a squeal as I ran towards it...
JS slapped his forehead hard at that moment


prollie I am just not a Versace fan...
sigh....wat a disappointment...I mean the collection

since I'm a sucker for collectors and limited items
maybe I'll just get Versace for H&M home collection

surprisingly they don't own any factories but all designs came out fr its 100 in house designers
so when u purchase their merchandise, u can see that it's made everywhere from India to Indonesia, China to Turkey, Romania to Spain

still no clue yet???

Reims the heart of Champagne

Monkey & Berr inside the TGV fast train
all ready to leave Paris to Reims which is about 80 miles away
so with a fast train it's less than an hour

TGV First Class cabin was nothing fantastic compared to Trenitalia in Italy
Trenitalia is more comfortable and most of all there's a food cart goin around the first class but not TGV
prollie coz it was a short journey....:(((((((

I was so looking fwd to my "train ride" food then :P
JS was like -_-" train and plane food where got nice???
well I lurve MAS's Nasi Lemak and Satays
and also Cathay Pacific's beef brisket!!!!
and Emirates's arrays of mezze

I was amazed that Reims is quite a big city and very modern
earlier, Monkey was imagining "Kampung" :P
Reims was a very historical city and played important roles during the Roman Empire

as we strolled along the street on a Sunday afternoon.....there's so much to see here
from the beautiful Cathedral to the Basilica and shopping :D

I ran towards it and JS was like......slaps forehead and wondered why the hell a kampung like this has got H&M
Reims has got La Fayette departmental store too!!!!!!! *equivalent to Harrods*

since there was no "train" food.....I must feed my tummy first :D
and we arrived Reims on the right time of the year

with Christmas Fair/market/kiosks all lined up on the main street
selling lil trinkets to YUMMY FOOD and all the christmassy stuffs

fried crispy-on-the-outside-chewy-on-the-inside dough
then sprinkled with icing sugar!!!!!!!

all eppy eppy again
and JS was nagging at Monkey

"Tonite got dinner at the beautiful Les Crayeres, dun spoil your appetite"

ahhhh!!!! SO CUTE!!!!!! it's a miniature HORSE!!!!
at first I thought it was a mule or donkey....but later found out it's a breed fr the horse family
SO CUTE!!!! i wanna take them home!!!!!!!

but so poor thing.....they were made to work like donkeys in the cold

no Monkey can't ride this.....the miniature horse will fall flat on their bellies with all 4 legs sprawled
but the french kids were so happy to climb on them and ride round round round this enclosed area

we stayed like 10 steps away fr the centre of the town, which was this landmark
anyway Reims town is small but there's a lot to see and do

no it was not snowing....just some deco in town centre
but wanna make this pic looked like we were at some arctic place :P

the city/town/village is pretty quaint huh?
but underground this place were tunnels and caves used by champagne makers to age their bubblies
it's like a maze down under dated as old as the roman empire
