Intercontinental Budapest

Pic taken by JS from our suite
overlooking the Danube River and Buda Castle

being a priority club member has got its privileges too :)))
Priority Club is the world largest hotel loyalty card with more than 4,400 hotels
so be assured that u'll bound to find a hotel around the corner of the Earth
hehehehehehehehe
on your right is the famous Szechenyi Chain Bridge and there's the Matthias Church that's illuminated at nite with its pointy tower
I'll blog about all these wonderful monuments in separate posting coz they definitely deserved it!!!
hehehehehehe
Monkey, Labbit and Berr can never get tired of this view
we laid here by the window till we dozed off...
and on sunny days...we laid here till we zzzz again :P
maybe the 3 of us should just change our names to piggie :P
GOOD MORNING BUDAPEST!!!!
Buda Castle is so magnificent!!!!
a tramline is just below our hotel
Intercontinental is a pretty low building here only a few floors
in fact the entire Pest is not that high...and the highest building was this Basilica which I've blogged about *click here to read*
I guess no captions of whatever sort of description needed for these pics...
so I'll just go.............................

Breakfast with view :))))))))))) *spot Labbit and Berr?*
sorry forgot to snap pic of our breakfast...
a typical Hungarian breakfast is some cold cuts,
salami, really good salamis with spices,

served with Hungarian cheese with really good snappy texture
and some pickled bell peppers, scallions and cucumbers
their pickled vege is really good bcoz it's a different type of vinegar used
not too acidic with natural sweetness innit....almost balsamic. :))))))))

my favourite has got to be pickled chilis!!!!!!
I tend to steal more pickled chilis at the sausage stands :P
so from morning till dusk...the lovely hobbits *as JS calls them* sat here
I dun mind it either, with a good book. :))))))))
as the sun sets on the horizon, the silhouette of Buda Castle cast a grand shadow over the Danube River

hehehehhe to capture these pics, we rushed home to our suite hahahahaha
well at different places, u get different sunsets
this one was "unpolluted" with good quality of air...the Sun reflected such beautiful hues of colors as it sets
then as we anticipated....at the nick of time....all the lights at Buda Castle illimunated
:))))))))))))))))))))
and again changing the view
all I could do then was just SMILE
big wide smile

sat there doin nothing until JS reminded that we need to get ready for dinner
hmmm well who needs dinner when I could just enjoy the view???
hehehehhehehehe

so folks, when u do have the resources/ $$$ go travel the world ok?
go to places u've never been and be immersed in all its history, culture, cuisine, people and scenery.

now...I'm counting days to "sawadee kaa" but before that....need to head to the Lion City for work.
as the malay proverb says it...bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian
u work hard first before u get to enjoy and reap its results
:)))))))))))))))
