Lima Blas Restaurant, Jalan Mesui
Nyonya Ginger Ale
It was a hot sunny day, needed something cold to quench our thirst. When u read hot and sunny, it must had been some time ago bcoz weather had been a bitch lately. Yup this visit to Lima Blas restaurant was back in late July. A very unassuming one, located at Jalan Mesui, off Jalan Nagasari. It was pretty much a walking distance from my office but Miss Poot Poot Poot needed to stretch her legs/tyres.
Lima Blas is a Baba Nyonya restaurant with really nostalgia decos. This place really brought u back in time with miller machines, bicycles, Tiffin carriers, ice kacang machine, jars after jars of gula melaka, sweets....basically there's a lot to see here for those notti curious one like Monkey.
I like that the tables and chairs were of mis-matched. It's like an organised chaos here....hahahaha
Folks don't throw away ur old packaging....who knows, maybe u can frame them up like this :)))
succulent ayam pongteh
a must have dish at every baba nyonya establishment.
Cincaluk omelette!!!
this was so simple and good...u can even cook this at home...key is to get good quality cincaluk.
Deep fried fish with chili paste
Food here wasn't as spicy as I wanted it to be as compared to those in Malacca. Malaccans can really eat spicy yo!!!
Pucuk Ubi aka tapioca shoots in sambal belacan has got good texture and tasty!!! Looking at all these pics make me so so so damn hungry now!!!
Sambal Petai!!!
:))))))))))))
Nyonya laksa
I didn't wanna waste time on the other food, came specifically for this. According to B, they only have 15 bowls each service. Trust me, it's so so so yummy and rich.
Sago Gula Melaka
the sagos are really huge, fat and juicy.
Since it was such a hot day, I must must must have a bowl of ice freezing cold Chendol, drenched in fresh coconut milk and authentic gula melaka.
Thank you to Chef!!!!
really good and yummy food cooked with honesty, heart and passion
will definitely return when it's not so hot and rainy hehehehehehe
