HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM CHIA WAI!!!!

Knowing Sam is such a pleasure,
Having her as a friend is so wonderful,
but becoming one of her best buddies,
is one of the things in my life,
which I'll treasure.

Joining the commerce stream at 16,
was a big change to me,
for I have to make new friends...
all over again.....boohoooo...

You were so friendly to me,
though I'm like the most stucked up bitch in class.
Sharing so much from thoughts to problems,
from experience to knowledge...
and erm...your keropoks...thank u ar.

You sat in front of me,
and studied diligently all the time,
but I do enjoyed all the dramas,
that u have with SC....*my fav past time*

A year later,
you sat at the back of me,
and I still have the nerve,
to turn my head and watch the drama happening.
kua kua kua...

You were known as the "late queen"
with poor time management,
that I do not mind,
coz I have learnt how to calculate "your time".

You were alwiz the 1st one to blow the candles,
every single year,
but I shall treat u as a baby,
coz forever and ever, you are a big baby!!!

Happy Birthday Sam,
Never came across my mind..
you will major in such a technical line,

Whatever you do,
May all your wishes fulfilled,
Happiness floats with you,
Love surrounds you,
and that big smile on your face be with u,
alwiz..

Hugs.

*trip to Bali cancelled*

1st shopping destination,
IFC mall, just below the IFC tower, HK's highest structure
the usual HK crowd......so packed!!

as a good guide, I must bring him to all the landmarks/places he saw on the tele,
this one the walking escalator up to SOHO
and of coz Lan Kwai Fong,
where all the gweilos picked up chicks.
the usual market that u see in chinese dramas
and more crammed small walkway market...
as usual we shopped till we dropped..
my hands so sakit...
most purchases were requested to be delivered to hotel,
I don't want to carry so much of stuffs when I jalan.
Nite view of the island
we went to Spoon by the renowned french chef Alain Ducasse

find out more at www.alain-ducasse.com

I lurve their truffles bread....i asked for 2nd helping...nyek nyek
we started off with Dom Perignon 98 by the glasses, HK$710 per glass
The best vintage got to be 96, but not many left in the world.
so 98 is the next best but it's still a bit green.

Antipodes is some mineral water fr New Zealand HK$ 130,
with less mineral according to my waiter,
he has a cute name - Ardis Lau.
Not Andy Lau ya!!
starter was a pan seared foie gras with pear HK$ 195
we had a beautiful and rounded bordeux fr Beaucaillou 1989,
1st Cru so it was very good HK$ 3,000
Alain Ducasse's signature black truffle pasta HK$ 205
Splendid view!!
Wagyu HK$ 510, it was ok.
Spoon top dessert, everything was superb HK$ 225
We've been warned by Doc Chook,
that this restaurant is overrated,
but we still wanna try.

Worth trying though!!

Hong Kong, Day 2

We woke up really early for our coffee and shopping,
U don't see so few human on the street normally...
coz it was still damn early.
JS lost a lot of weight *he looked so sleepy here*
too much of golf kills!!!!
Pls eat more....

"Do we have to go shopping this early? I'm still enjoying my cappucino here."
"U'll see later and thank me for that."

Gate crashed the boutiques at 10 am sharp.
When we were done with our 1st destination,
Louis Vuitton at Harbour City,
There was already a line forming outside the store,
with a macho guard manning the queue.

"?????????"
"This is Hong Kong. Not KL. Now which other stores you wanna go?"
his usual playground....wine shops.
I like the fact that these shops appreciates good wines,
every bottle neatly placed by region, by grapes....
and properly stored.
I found Pensfold Hermitage 1986!!!!!!! *the one I had with Prince C was a 1983*
beside it, is Pensfold Grange 1990...
I still have that in the chillers. :))))))))))

Every bottle also he wants...
I have to stopped him when the number reaches 5 bottles...
enuff!!!!!! I am not gonna hand carry them back to KL!!!
KL started selling crocs shoes last year,
and still selling the same ugly SKUs...
in HK they have them with mickey mouse, nice lady-like sandals,
men's walking sandals...very nice.
yummy barbecued pork, roast pork and the usual fattening stuffs HK$ 68
Hongkies lurve stalks instead of the leafy part. This one with rice wine. HK$ 58
Ma Po toufu HK$ 62
Later we took a ferry to outlying island - Cheung Chau
HK$ 22.20 per journey, 25 minutes.
Turbo Jet to Macau...
so fast it's almost flying on top of the water..
I've only been to Macau once....nothing much there...
We went to Cheung Chau for their excellent seafood
and beautiful sunset.

It's a small fishing island,
popular in the hongkie scary ghost movie,
where teenagers get together to bbq,
missed their last ferry and got stranded in the island...
the rest u know....
really small island
the only mode of transportation
everywhere jam packed with fishing boats
nice & calm
ppl here are more down to earth
monkey enjoying the evening sun rays.
we sat ourselves at a nearby seafood restaurant, where u choose your fishes, lobsters, scallops, prawns etc and the kitchen will cook it your way.
I like the sunset there
I guess I was too busy at work in KL to enjoy any sunsets at all
their scallops is really good and fresh. The whole seafood meal cost only HK$ 179....damn cheap.
When we were back to Tsim Tsa Tsui,
gave JS some hukka pukka experience which he hated,

like catching the crowded MTR to Mongkok,
Pushing and jay walking with the crowd at Ladies Market,
eating streetfood like my fav "kah lee yu tan".
It comes with octupus, porky skin, radish....yumm

He can't wait to get out!!
Then I promised him we will have a nice dinner tomorrow nite.

Hong Kong is just not for him.
Too claustrophobic.
