Zappeion, Athens

We saw this beautiful building and ran over to snap pic
Zappeion is the conference and exhibition hall for the Greeks
really impressive marble columns
look at the heads
and a beautiful courtyard....
everything fr marble
courtyard with Dinos the Great busy with his phone
this place is really big...and tiny me
JS's Nikon can zoom really far fr where he stood
that's convenient for a lazy person like me.
:P

soup

the menu looks like broadsheet newspaper eh???
this place is inside the meat market
and its specialties are SOUPS
all sort of soups
ppl workin here are as old as the shop
and they were so nice and friendly
it also served other home cooked traditional Greek food
everything also I wanna try
crispy deep fried fresh fish
the open concept kitchen with pots and pots of soup boiling!!!
pre cooked pastas and its sauces
the Chef & Monkey
he insisted that I play around at the counter serving customers...
ermm.....better not...I'll spill your soups and dishes and trample over the pots and pans
this place was discovered by Smiley Christiana
hence Couchie George brought us here in his smart office Armani attire

yeah wearing a suit to a market...sounds Greek rite?
but everyone does that in Athens....very well dressed.
so we may be weird looking to them wearing slipper, shorts, and torn tees to the market.
very very fresh bread
roast pork with chips
deep fried fresh sardines
Greek salad
the soup came separately from its chunks of goodies
a plate of fish + potatoes
and another deep plate of its hot juicy yummy super sweet fish soup
I like em spicy!!!
fish to be eaten with lotsa lemons
Someone who's Great ordered this...
he can never resist desserts and sweets
and another different dessert
so I was not surprised knowing he enjoyed it thoroughly.
spoon lickin, lips smacking....
aikssssssssssssssss

Thank you to Couchie George for taking us here.
:))))))))))))))))

Greek Market

kinda forgotten the name of this market
but it's alwiz a must to visit a foreign market whenever/wherever u travel to.
I like to experience the surreal sounds, lights, smells, colours
noise and more noise!!!!!

just that this round I don't understand a word those vendors were screaming
prollie..."SALE SALE SALE" or "BUY HERE"
just maybe "2 for 1"
oranges, clementines were bountiful
clementines = mandarin orange = kaam = seedless tangerine
definitely sweeter, juicier, yummier than those fr China.

and u won't get those "heat cough" despite consuming cartons of it.
I must say we consumed a truckload in Athens + Cyprus.
it's difficult to choose when there's so many to choose fr!!!
and even more difficult to read when it's in GREEK
Greeks lurve cheeses
and fresh ones....as soft as "tau foo fah"
some were salty
some were spicy
there's a variety of soft cheese.

I don't remember
goin to a foreign country and not visiting their market(s).

pointing back the finger inwards...
errm, the only market I've visited in KL is Imbi Market
heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

well better than Mr. JS who doesn't even visit PASAR MALAM.
I am looking for "kaki" to go to pasar malam to eat asam laksa + ai yee pink
anyone???
