Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Malacca

the magnificent entrance to the temple
*can u see lil notti monkey there?*
yes Cheng Hoon Teng Temple is the OLDEST functioning temple in Malaysia
constructed in 1645 by Kapitan Lee Wei Keng
materials were flown in....errrr I mean shipped in fr China
all in all...a total of 3 different Kapitans built this temple
and won an award in 2003 fr UNESCO for its beautiful restoration works
oh yea by the way forgot to put a big disclaimer
ALL PICS WERE STOLEN FROM JS
the lion looked surprised O.O
the long beams with chinese words inscripted on it
it's really beautiful
and yeah we walked all the way here to snap pics
afterall it was JS's weekend of photography
-_-" while Monkey walked and sweated like a monkey
