THE Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin put on an impressive display, and with his playing partners, finished three shots behind the winners in the Maybank Malaysian Open Pro-Am tournament at the Saujana Golf and Country Club yesterday.
Teaming up with World No 11 Anthony Kim of the US, Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) president Datuk Robin Loh and Maybank Berhad chairman Tan Sri Mohamed Basir Ahmad, the foursome had a score of 61 in the morning session which was won by Alexander Noren, Jannie Venter, Lee Guan Cheng, and Karl Muiz on 58.
"I really didn't know I was going to be playing with the King and it was quite an honour. He (Tuanku Mizan) is a really funny guy and it was a blast to go out there and play a round of golf with him. There was a good chance that he could have beaten me today (yesterday) so he obviously has a good golf game," said Anthony.
Meanwhile, the quartet of Kim Kyung Tae, Wong Swee Kim, Terry Lim and Ding Cho Hee won the afternoon session with a score of 51. Besides an impressive trophy, each golfer of the winning team received golf equipment from the sponsors.
*HEEEEE I am so PROUD OF U*
